So--what has the Spradlin family been doing the past two months and what are we planning for the next two...its a whirlwind I tell you! ( kinda like the weather here today...although you would need to live in N. Texas to completely understand!)
So in February....we celebrated Valentines day, Nana came to visit from New Hampshire, Shea and I went on an all night date, I had one birth with a 3-peat client and I took on another job and joined a midwifery program, Lexi started standing and got 4 teeth in in a week, Austin dealt with awful sickness and decided he wanted a scooter for his birthday!
Then in March…we all dealt with sickness, Lexi began saying her first words--“dada!”, I started working at APA again a few days a month, I took on leading a “new mom’s group” at the birth center, all sorts of shake-up happened at SMU and we are still waiting to see how that will pan out, we got rid of cable and got Netflix ( I am having some serious withdraw issues!) , Austin discovered he loves going to the library to check out new DVD’s every week, Lexi discovered the “beans” that go with the game “ Dont Spill the beans!” and we got to see 14 of them exit her body, I spent some great evenings with friends, Austin spent 4 days in Tyler with his papa and Shea went on a business trip to Austin and I had another repeat client deliver …woo.
The weather has gotten beautiful here—so we have been doing more and more time outside. Lexi loves being outside and Austin LOVES playing in his sandbox and water table. So this month so far we have dealt with MORE sickness ( the entire family got the stomach bug this week—fun times!), I was blessed to do a guest blog for the birth center and I was touched by all the comments I received ( yes you can laugh that I can blog somewhere else more frequently than my own blog!), Lexi is trying to take steps and loves her new “stroller walker” toy, Austin has discovered a love for frozen yogurt and banana’s (not together!), Shea is currently at his yearly fishing trip with his cousin out at the ranch in Chatfield so I am flying solo with kiddos for the next 2 days, I have lost a total of 15 lbs so far doing weight watchers and FINALLY getting back into the gym more regularly ( which makes me SOOO happy!) AND Lexi had her first haircut!!
So…whats still to come for this month and next??
Well…next week my dad is coming to visit from Hawaii for 6 days, on April 27th Lexi has her repeated testing at Cook’s children's hospital and every time I think about it--my stomach hurts, we are getting ready for May which will bring a 1 year birthday for Lexi, a trip to Tucson for Me and Lexi, a trip to Steamboat for Austin and Shea, my mom flying back with me for a week, Austin’s 4th birthday, Austin's last days of school, an anniversary for Shea and I…and a client due all between working my other jobs! And that is why I dont blog very often…our life is insane!

WOW! Haha - now that's what I call "busy"!! 'Boo' on all the sickness, and 'yay' for all the productivity!!! As crazy as it is, this is what life is about, isn't it?!?! A is looking so big, I can't believe he's just about 4, and Lexi is getting into so much fun mischief (I love kiddo adventures!). :)
You know, I didn't realize until now that our kids are the same spread in age. Fun to see what a 1 yr.-old and 4 yr.-old pair look like!
