A room so full of entertaining toys is sure to spark increases in vocabulary...such as "I'm bored". My advice is a couple of additional educational toys. Namely the empty bucket and small trowell. When the "I'm bored" request is made, you can hand him the bucket & trowell and take him outdoors where you can show him weeds to dig out or dog poo to get rid of. Thus, the introduction of chores and the end of "I'm bored" complaints.
