Ok...I'm back!!

So before I get cut off again--let me share some pics from the past month. Many of these are from when Mom was here. She flew in on a Wed. I went to my conference all day on Friday, then spent the night at a hotel with my doula partners on Friday night( yes you read that right--I spent an entire night away from Austin--woo, hoo!) Then did the conference on Saturday for half day.

It was really great to get a break away, get some much needed doula "cup filling" and learn some stuff. Being a doula is so much about giving of your self and is really quite draining, emotionally and physically, that when you get a chance to build your reserves back up, its really so helpful. I went to two awesome seminars on understanding your newborn--which was so enlightening. Stuff that really would have been helpful to know BEFORE Austin was born.
Austin did pretty good considering how long he was without me. Saturday was his hard day--but it was the first time in his life he had gone to bed without me and woke up without me (and more importantly without his "nursies." ) He was happy to see me when i got home on Saturday afternoon--but Mom and him did have fun playing. Mom says he is a different kid when I am not around...hm, wonder whats thats about!!
