Our flight was scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 5:15pm. We arrived at 3pm to find that the flight seemed to be on time. But then the flight kept getting delayed until finally at 6:30 it was canceled. I made calls to American to try to get us on a later flight, but due to all the cancellations, we could not get on another flight to Tucson until some time Saturday--agghh!! I finally got us confirmed on a flight for Friday afternoon to Phoenix--looks like we would be doing some driving! And to top it all off--our bags were going to Tucson on Thursday night--so once we arrived in Phoenix we would also have to drive to the Tucson airport for our luggage! I was just thankful that at least we could sleep in our own beds that night--even if all my clothes were in another state. Papa Spradlin and Helen came and picked us up and we went to bed early to get ready for another day of traveling. All in All it was ok--Austin was great in the airport both Thursday and Friday. He also was great on the plane--never cried once and really did not seem bothered much at all by the take off and landing--I nursed him during both and he was perfectly content. Shea thinks he liked the plane ride because of all the "air" background noise--which makes perfect sense since he loves "swishing" noise! Nana and mom picked us up in Phoenix and we made the 2 hour drive to Tucson to recover our luggage and go home.
