Happy Birthday to Keath!

Last minute on Friday--we found out that our friend Keath was having a 40th birthday party on Saturday night about 45 minutes from us. Keath lives in Oklahoma so we rarely see him, so Shea really wanted to go to this. He knew that there would be lots of people he knew there and its not often that Shea really wants to get out and be social--so I knew we better do it!

I had the Blessingway "baby" shower I gave for a friend of mine most of the day Saturday , then Shea and Austin picked me up and we headed to the Lake. The party was at a restaurant on one of the lakes in Dallas.

Well--before we even got in the door, Shea was already seeing people he knew. It was like blasts from the past for him and I have to say i got a chance to see my husband really socialize!! I kept an eye on Austin so he could see and talk with everyone--and its one of the first times we have been somewhere in a social setting, that Shea kept coming to check on me to see if I was doing ok--because he was so busy socializing!!! It was great!!

It was way past Austin's bedtime--so he got pretty hyper at one point and was running around like a crazy kid! But we really had a great time and I got to meet some people from Shea's past that I had only heard about.

And of course we loved seeing Keath and his family. Keath is an old friend of Shea's brother, Chris. But Keath has always treated Shea like a brother--they have supported us and prayed for us a lot over the years.

And 8 years ago when Shea and I had our "legal" wedding in Kim and Tom Baum's living room--Keath was the one who married us!
So this picture of the 3 of us is reminiscent of the pictures from that special day, 8 years ago on March 18th, 2001.
