We had our evaluation with ECI today ( early childhood intervention) and it went great. They were so positive about Austin and where he is at--and in a nut shell said he is advanced in every area. He was borderline qualifying for their service because of his eating issues--and in the end they did qualify him so that we can get some help in that with that. Even though developmentally he is tracking with 17-18 month olds, she said that his eating issues could possibly get better with a little bit of work, even though they dont consider that to be a developmental issue.
We are going to work on getting him on a stricter nursing schedule and they are going to look at some ideas to help get him to sleep a little more during the day so that his body can recharge better. I said if they had idea for getting him to sleep better, this would all be well worth the work!!
This evaluation was night and day different compared to our last one--they explained all the areas they were scoring him on and of course once they said he was well advanced in most areas, I was happy camper!! Its been a roller coaster ride ever since that first evaluation and I am glad to be on the happier side of it!! Thank you all for your support and prayers through it all!
