Happy New Year

Its the first day of 2008 and Shea and I realized that means Austin will turn one this year--yikes where has the time gone ?? ( yes--remind me of this when he is turning 18 too!)

My mom flew out last night, so we had a very quiet evening at home. We WOULD have been asleep at midnight--but our neighbors had fireworks and our doggies were quite agitated so we were all up around 12!

Today we enjoyed just hanging out together--Shea's first full day of not working on the floors so we went to lunch at our favorite Mexican food place and it was the first time Austin let us get through a whole sit down meal at a restaurant without having a meltdown--and without being in our arms! He sat like a big boy in the high chair, playing with his toys and sucking on his meshy feeder with ice. Oh the little joys we celebrate like a full meal out with both hands free!

Shea is almost done with the floors--it was a much bigger project than we could have realized --lots of little places that took way more time than we expected! BUT it looks so wonderful so far and as soon as I have my house back in "order" I will take pictures. He has worked his tail off getting it done and I am so proud of him!
