Ear infections...yuck!

So it has been some pretty long days here in the Spradlin household. Austin has not slept good in weeks...which means neither has mom! I originally thought it had to do with him teething, then he had a cold and then...I did just did not know any more what was wrong. We have had more than one night in the past week where he would wake screaming and would not settle down--it was heartbreaking and frustrating all at the same time.
I had suspected his ears last week, but knew that it was best to let that run its course and just treat him with rest, nursing and olive oil drops.
Well this morning he woke up ( if you can call getting up from a night of sleep interrupted about 8 times by crying "waking up") with his eyes all crusty and nose all crusty. I called mom and called Shea and decided it was best to take him in now-I had done my due diligence and let it ride it out for over a week--time to seek more help.

I just love our doctor--he reassured me that I had done the best thing in letting it it play out since he ( and I ) would not be quick do antibiotics. But he said since i had done due diligence and it still was not better and getting worse--it was time to call in the big guns! So --he is treating Austin for double ear infections and a raging yeast infection( and I am treating us with probiotics to keep the yeast from getting worse from the evil antibiotics!)

I have so much more to share but I seriously feel I am in a fog from the past few weeks--I am just exhausted and worn thin, so I will write more in the next few days. In the meantime--enjoy these pictures and video!
