I am a WAHM now!!

For those of you who dont spend as much time on the computer as me, WAHM is computer talk for "work at home mom!" Today was my first day at home with Austin and although he seemed a bit out of sorts, I am sure he loved it!

He was wide eyed and bushy tailed at 6am today when we are normally are on our way to work--and he did not sleep much since I think he was just not sure what we were doing...but over all I believe he enjoyed the hours we spent outside playing ( it was 80 degree's here today!) and our more relaxed schedule.

He is "talking" more now a days--and today he was fascinated with his tongue and bottom lip. He is really loving his jumper toy and spending much more time on the floor rolling around and playing with his toys. I cant believe he is about 5 1/2 months old--aggh, the time is flying by!

I have a doula client due any day now and to say I am nervous is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I am not nervous about doing the birth--I am excited to be doing births again and celebrate with families as they bring their precious baby into the world. What I am nervous about is leaving Austin for an extended period of time! He is pretty much refusing the bottle right now, so right now that is my biggest prayer request. I know he wont starve to death--but I do know he will be a much happier baby if he is fed! And that will make things much easier on Jessica ( the woman who is such a blessing to us because she will be keeping him!) Tomorrow I am actually going to Jessica's so we can hang out with her and her baby, Caleb, so that Austin can be get more familiar with them. WE are hoping that as they become less "strangers" to him that he will get comfortable and relax with them and then be happier! He is such a happy baby when all is well--he has eaten, napped and been changed! He is a different baby when those things don't align and not taking a bottle means those are not aligning!

It is supposed to get really cold here tomorrow so be thinking and praying for Shea as he rides the bike to work!
Hopefully I can get some new pics on soon--gotta figure out a schedule for us now that we are home and until then my computer time is all over the place!
